M3 is the cutoff for me with BMW. At ~$65-75k nicely optioned (with ED), The M3 is probably one of the best value/dollar propositions out there. However the M5 at ~$100k and the M6 at ~$140k make little sense to me. At $100k you can be in a GT-R, lets see the M5 try to keep up. At ~$140k you're in 911 Turbo territory, again, lets see the M6 compete.
I understand those who like the looks/style of the higher M cars, but to me the value proposition is just not there.
