That's my worry too with the new turbo M3/M4. On the plus side both the 1M and the M135i can take extended lapping at Mexico City's height above sea level (almost 6,700 ft) without limping.

I think it's unacceptable that the M5 limps. The X6M does limp too but it's a truck so I'll cut it some slack.

Yeah' it's rare but I'd guess its that way in most places. M cars are not exactly your average cars (well, maybe in Cali ). Pricing here for the M cars and BMWs in general isn't actually that bad. They are more expensive than in the U.S. (between 15-30%) but less so than almost anywhere else in the world.
