OP did not specify whether he's trying to beat a C63 from a dig or from a roll-on so I assumed from a stop (a la 1/4 mile). The C63 is very difficult to launch effectively from a stop. All that torque just makes the wheels spin, especially with the stock 255's; don't think that even the new C63's come with launch control either. Also, the C63's tranny is relatively slow to shift and if the driver uses manual mode, he'll most likely be less effective (best to leave in Sport mode and let the car do the shifting). On the M3 he'd be able to use launch control but will have to make sure that he shifts at the right time. The better driver will be able to launch his car more effectively.
