A GTR is not a downgrade by any means. I have had a 997.1tt and prefer the GTR hands down. I'm honestly bored with the same old Porsche design. I have driven 997.2s several times and in my opinion it's not much faster or refined compared with the M3. It's not much of an upgrade if you ask me. I actually prefer the M3.
