I'll be testing it fully to see what works and what doesn't. I don't see why an extension that plugs into the snap in and converts the 30 pin to the 8pin lightning connector wouldn't work.

The Lighting
adapter (30-pin to 8-pin) does
not output
analog video.
The difference between the USB port and the snap-in
feature-wise is that the snap-in have connections for
analog video.
Using the Ligthning adapter with the snap-in and sending $39 to me is the same thing.
