Ok here is a surprise - I was not rubbing with AD08 but rubbing a bit with PSS in the same size (295/30-19). Also PSS seems to be sticking out above the rim of the lip a bit more. AD08 looks more square, but PSS seems to beet wider in the sidewalls.
