Yes, you can only get the basic "in production" from the 1-800-831-1117 number (need your prod # or VIN) or through bmwusa.com.
My CA did a screen dump to show me '150', and I will ask him on Tue - when I write the next, and much larger cheque, to show me the latest status update.
ie
151 Body Shop Started
152 Paint Shop Started
153 Assembly Started
155 Production Completed
