Motul Multi DCTF

I just discovered that Motul is now making a dual-clutch transmission fluid that is compatible with BMW's DCTs.

"Especially suitable for Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) supplied by ZF, Getrag, or Borg Warner and used by the main car manufacturers: VW Audi Seat Skoda (DSG or S tronic), BMW (DKG), Mercedes Benz (7G DCT), Porsche (PDK), Ford (Powershift), Opel (DSG), PSA Peugeot-Citroen (DCS), Renault (EDC, DC4), Nissan (GR6)."

They list it as meeting BMW specs DCTF-1 (part number 83 220 440 214) and MTF-LT-5 (part number 83 220 2167 666). They also show it as being equivalent to Pentosin FFL-2, FFL-3, and FFL-4, along with Shell TF DCT-F3 which we know is the factory-fill in the Ferraris that use the higher-output version of our transmission.

KV @ 40 C = 33.8
KV @ 100 C = 7.3
Viscosity index = 189
Flash = 196 C / 385 F
Pour = -45 C / -49 F

This stuff looks very interesting, especially since it can be had for $20/qt or less. The viscosity index is also some 12% higher than the OEM FFL-4 fluid, meaning it should perform better across the entire temperature range. I haven't talked to Joey at Motul USA about this yet, but it's on my to-do list for this week.
