I actually have not tried/driven an e9x M3 with the DCT. The same thing applies to the SMG. I've been a manual guy ever since highschool.
Drove a friend's e92 m3 (6 speed) and boy, it was fast. I have been reading about the DCT and you could actually do a step down method of downshifting. That got me curious.
I'll try to go for a DCT test drive sometime this week.
