I don't agree. The GTS trades downforce for drag. Thus it would not be surprising at all if the stock M3 has a higher top speed. A similar scenario is seen with the Viper ACR (of course the M3 GTS aero mods are not that extreme).
I'm confident that in ideal testing circumstances (nothing unfair just smooth, flat, cool, and lots of room) the OEM M3 can obtain a true actual top speed of 185-190 mph. Of course forget indicated speeds as they are rubbish. It has the power and aero for it (not the the aero is particularly good).
