The repair kit is not exposed to the elements as if it was done on a pipe outside the chamber, so longevity may be longer. There is no rust on the pipe inside so I am not that worry about it. For the price I paid, I don't care that much about that. I would think the pipe replacement would be better. If it last over three years I will be happy. I may have another car then.
