that makes no sense though.

when you shift, depending on gearing, the rpms will drop between 2500-3500 RPM. so why would you NOT rev to redline? because if you do, when you shift, you will be at a higher RPM making more HP as the car makes more power at 4500 RPM than it does at 3000 RPM.

shifting at 6000 doesn't make any sense based on the power curve we have seen.
