The face of the 10.5" wheel is 4mm closer to the fender than the 18x10" ET25 wheel. It's almost completely unnoticeable to the eye. The benefit of the 10.5" wheel is the extra sidewall support it can give a tire without being pushed out as aggressively as the 11" wheel (The 11" wheel is 13mm more aggressive than the 10" wheel).

Each profile comes from a separate tooling. All wheels from that tooling will like 98% similar. The spokes are 100% the same. The only difference is how deep the center pad is, and how deep the lug holes are drilled.

The only reason the wheels look different in the above photo because you see the rear wheels at more of an angle, while you are looking more straight on at the front wheels. The spokes create this affect. The 18x9.5" ET58 and the 18x8.5" ET35 come from the same tooling, and the ET35 wheel simply has lug bolts that will be more deeply recessed. It's just the physically requirements of each offset that make it this way. The above wheels in the photo (18x9" ET31 and 18x9.5" ET35) are within 1mm of being exactly identical once you adjust for offset due to the barrel width differences).
Great info, thank you.

I might go with 18x9.5 +43 Profile 2 for the rear then, and 18x9 +42 Profile 1 for the front. Got some time and decisions to make.
