Do you mean the one that is apparently making about 435 HP at the crank, or the one that appears to be making over 600 HP at the crank? Or the MT sample? The extreme variation in tested samples is the one thing that is bothersome to me.

I have no idea what the plan is, but the engine will be SAE certified at 480 HP, unless Nissan does an about face on current practice, which is unlikely.

The MT test feels about right, but I have to say I have no good idea how much power is lost at the wheels with the GT-R setup. We've talked about this endlessly, but I don't remember if Nissan does the Porsche thing in terms of essentially making it a 2wd car unless traction is lost, or not. If they do something along those lines, power lost on the chassis dyno may in fact be 15%, or even less. Something closer to the M3 loss may in fact be correct for this car. I'm just talkin', though. As mentioned, I have no idea.
