However I have found the clear coat on my M3 is fairly soft....I had to remove some minor scratches and them came off VERY easy using mild polish and a random orbit buffer.....

x2 - just treat it like paint. this newer Venture film has a clear coat on it. the finished job looks great- I would post pics but there would be nothing to see.
