I disagree...Maybe if you were comparing the 130i:
http://bmw130i.com/specs.htm to the RS3 that would be a better competitor. But based upon the basics: Smallish, coupe, 4 seats, twin-turbo, 300+hp/300+tq, Under 3500lbs....then they match up quite well....
Between the 1er coupe and TT-RS there is a 3in. difference in legroom and a 5-6in difference in head/shoulder room so that IS a point but I think the aim of both cars is roughly the same (no baby seats in the Audi though...
). Now that I think about it doesnt the 997tts have back seats?
