I recently just started playing golf. I use my dad's old club.
He uses Callaway brand's carbon-fiber looking driver. It is VERY small compare to other huge-ass drivers.

It is really hard for me to use the driver. (if I do hit it, it slices like crazy). I have 0 problem hitting irons. One thing I noticed, I used my buddy's driver with huge head, it was way easier to hit. He said something about sweet-spot being bigger, so easier to hit.

I plan on getting a new driver and keeping the rest.

Can someone teach me some basics regarding how to pick a new driver for a newbie? Oh, I lack in distance A LOT and crazy slice problem. (I heard something about "closed head" drivers preventing slicing problem?)
