Oh hell yeah, I noticed the difference. Wider RS3s is a whole different ball game!
I am going to shut it down for the summer, too hot for my taste, but I'll be back out there again once it gets cooler!
After wittnesing the fire, I strongly encourage everyone to bring out a fire extinguisher if tracking in this heat, it was no joke
The problems I was having with the brakes was mostly due to worn out front pads, but I hear you on the ducts too.
