Actually, it is not. We see painted calipers fade like this all the time, some are worse than others. This is what heat does to painted calipers.

That is true, but doing that a couple of times over then you will find yourself pulling the threads right out of the alum. mounting brackets unless you have converted to studs and jet nuts.

In addition, you will almost need another hand to hold the caliper while you compress the pistons and R&R the pads. Try to do that in the pits with hot calipers and you will know what I mean.
