All you need is 2x6s to fit an oil container. I wait until nothing drips, then lift the car from the rear to reverse inclinations, and wait until nothing drips again. And yes, to check level properly car needs to be level, but that comes after pouring the initial 9L. Since I suck the oil filter housing dry, my car takes 9.5L to top off. Next time I won't have to top off anything
