Interesting discussion on who is to blame for the denigration our freedoms. Sen. John Warner, a Republican from Virginia, wants to introduce the double nickel speed limit. If that happens, save your money and buy Hondas. Socialists in Germany want to speed limit the autobahn and Switzerland is looking into banning most cars. If that happens, buy a 320d a Colnago and call it a fruitful life.

Heavy powerful cars are simply not much fun on public roads, especially in North America. One can obtain more driving pleasure throwing Caymans and Miatas into hairpin turns at speeds well below 60 mph than trying to sneak pudgy beasts up to jailbird speeds just to get a taste of their sweet spot.

The usefullness of ///M cars was on my mind today and a natural outcome would be a Bentley Convertible....oddly enough, this is a natural car to get if I want something nice that I don't want to drive very fast.

Scary I know.
