I do my oil change on ramps/jack and not difficult at all. Some elbow grease. Save nearly $350 each time and gives the incentive to change oil frequently rather than waiting for CBS. Maximum 2 hour job. You will enjoy it. Unlike at the dealer when the oil is drained cold which leads to some sludge remaining in the pan, you can warm up the oil, and then every bit of it. When I change oil I top it up with 9 litres, because I am anal, and syringe out oil from the filter too.

Next is transmission and diff oil and will be tackling that soon because I have to go in for a shoulder surgery, and won't be able to do any of this for a good two years.

Unless I win lotto and but the new M3. Otherwise, with a five-year-old coming along after the purchase of this car, I am broke and no chance of getting a new one. Hence the reason I am very anal about doing everything perfectly to prolong the longevity of this ultimate Driving Machine.
