I do see your argument, and it also appears the tire matchup is easier... or at least the PSS's are available in the matchup you suggest. I really like wide tires though...if I were to change out the whole set I figure I'd want to get as much rubber as possible.

Apparently the M3 GTS uses the 255/35 front and 285/30 rear...seems like BMW wouldn't put the combo on if it wasn't right for the car. Also another member on this post seems to have good results with that combo. Know why the GTS model is fine with it?
