They say it's to prevent oil starvation since some of the race cars had drops in oil pressure when they were out there without the cones. That gate is much better than the chicane they use to put there to slow you down AND get you down low at the end of the straight.




In our big cars, a single apex is faster. The double is likely faster for smaller/lighter cars. It's like 2 at Laguna Seca. You're faster in a single apex in our cars than a double apex.
I'd just be afraid to do a single apex turn and someone behind you is doing a double apex. It could get messy.

I prefer the idea of the double apex but an experienced driver with gt3 cup car came out with me and insisted I do a single apex
