kbb = kelly blue book. go to kbb.com and price the car. it will give you the price you should expect at a dealer and the price you should expect to pay if you buy from a private party. in saying you should pay private party, he means you should negotiate for the private party price on kbb rather than the dealer price since it is a buyer's market right now.
