I bought a used M Performance exhaust with 8,000 miles. It still isn't "loud". From the outside, it was louder immediately but in the car it is very subtle.

The M Performance exhaust sounds stock from the inside under all conditions except acceleration. The more go-pedal, the louder it gets.
