I don't think you should have any regrets. If you're planning on modifying the car anyways I think it's probably better you got the non-ZCP.
Just get some nice coilovers like the KW V3 or CS. Or you can get a sleeve kit like the KW Sleeve-Kit or Ground Control.
If you're not looking to spend too much you can get some springs like H&R, Dinan, Eibach, RDSport, etc.
And just pick up a set of whatever wheels you like (ADV.1, DPE, BBS, etc.)
Your car will be 10x better than a ZCP equipped car
