How a 335d, with 265hp can beat an M3 with 414hp? Sure you can tune the 335d, but how much? There's a long way from 265 to 414.
ps: torque means it can pull stuff (including itself). hp means how fast it can pull stuff (including itself). sure a lot of torque gives advantage to average HP under the curve, but M3 has virtually flat torque curve with aggressive gearing which keeps it in the power band.
