I've been running a square set-up on the street since I bought the car. OEM 18 x 9.5 with 265/40-18 look good in front. The stock tires are too wide and tall to clear the inner fender, however. I've actually rubbed a hole in the liner.
If you are using this for a track set-up, I wouldn't worry about it at all.
