Well, this problem has no borders - had the same issue here in Toronto Canada! Had my suspension upgraded Friday and got flashed by oncoming traffic at night the rest of the weekend. Other than you need racoon fingers to get access to the mounting nut, it was easy and took 15 minutes. Thanks for the information guys!
