OP, you should be able to make it on a tank pretty easily.
There was an accident that caused a 10 mile back-up (1.5 hrs) and I still had gas to drive around a little when I got to Vegas. I think I averaged 18 mpg when I calculated at the pump- 290 miles with 16 gallons of gas.
