I'm getting my 1200 mile service this coming Wednesday and the maintenance manual specifically mentions the change of differential fluid and I will ask the service advisor to specifically put it on the service invoice.

I suggest you get back to your dealer and ask for confirmation that this was done correctly. Politely, I would go up the chain of command to have satisfaction.

I wonder if you couldn't go to an independent garage that would inspect the area and possibly confirm if work has been done in that area.
