I too have a Vagcom. It will read the generic OBD2 codes like most cheap code readers will do. It will not read the individual modules because those are BMW specific.

Autel makes some higher end readers that will read some car-specific modules... but unless you plan to read multiple cars of different makes, you're better off buying the B-T tool.
