Historically I remember the Legacy had a reputation for scoring well in safety tests. Not sure about the current ones but it wouldn't surprise me. I had an opportunity to ride in a friend's Impreza (non-turbo motor) and it was smooth and comfortable. I can only imagine the Legacy as being more so.
