The problem is that there are many variables at play. Tire manufacturers don't all make a given tire size (ie. 265/35) to be the same dimensions as you go from one brand to another. Add to that the variation amongst different suspension set-ups. This includes wheel size, offset, lowered or not, camber settings...

This is why you get different answers. I don't think I've ever read of anyone successfully running a 265/35 tire without rub. Biggest I've run is 255/35 AD08R on oem height and camber and that rubbed a bit on full lock.

Sometimes you won't truly know until you take the risk of trying it for yourself and be prepared to possibly have to make changes if you are not satisfied with the outcome. Otherwise play it safe with what other's have reported will work without a doubt.
