Test drove an Evo MR when I was looking into potential alternatives to the E90 that I ended up getting. It was very fun and quick, and I didn't notice turbo lag which was nice. The ride was a lot better than I had expected it would be for a car that seemed to be more about performance than comfort.

But with all that said, the M3 still felt quicker to me and put more of a smile on my face both when driving at it and just looking at it. Also I don't know if it's just me, but the shifting definitely felt slower than the M3's DCT.

Also the interior of the Evo was very spartan for the kind of money it was commanding. The M3 feels like a luxury car on the inside and is such a killer DD, by comparison the Evo's interior seems more like an afterthought.

All in all, I still think the Evo is a fantastic car, and I think anyone who owns one will likely love it to death, but for just a bit more than a new one, I'd personally rather have a used M3 haha.
