There's an annual Chilifest/meet on Belle Isle put together by the MIVE forum (VW).
It's this Sunday, and figured it'd be a great chance to get one last meet in before the snow flies.
CHILIFEST - #Nein
When: October 24th 2010, 12pm to dusk-ish. We're usually done by 4:30-5pm
Where: Belle Isle of Course (we will try and get the same lot we had last year by the Remick Music Shell)
Who: Everyone. Although we all love our German cars, it's not restricted to VAG cars.
What: This is the MIVE event that started it all! It's cold, we eat chili, we take scenic car photos, we have fun.
$5 donation only if you are eating. Proceeds go to MIVE to support events and the website. We will have T-shirts on sale! MIVE and Motorstadt shirts. Prices range from $10-15. There are a few colors to choose from.

Our plan is as follows...
11:30am: Meet at 9 Mile and Woodward (north-west corner, see pic). Access the lot by turning onto Withington from SB Woodward, or take 9 Mile west to Planavon St.
12pm: Roll out and head to Belle Isle. We'll either take Woodward or 75... depending on the size of the group and what the general consensus is.
3pm(ish): For those that don't just want chili, we'll leave Belle Isle and grab some food on our own. Right now we're open to suggestions, but thinking either the Dakota Inn Rathskeller in Detroit, or Fishbones in St. Clair Shores.
This is just a chance for everyone to get together one last time before it gets too cold; see some cars, and go for a short drive. Nothing formal; but throw your name up if you're thinking of going.
