The aspect is a ratio or percentage of the tire width. In an effort to keep the sidewall heights consistent front to back, you need to use a higher aspect ratio on the narrower tire and a lower ratio on the wider tire. You will notice that people use the same ratio front and rear when they choose tire widths that are only 20mm different (like OEM). 20mm + usually requires differing ratios.
So if I'm running 19x9 +18 front and 19x10 +25 back should I get 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 or 285/35/19
