That is the cool part, and maybe the part I don't like about this trans. I rarely use D mode, but when I do its because I want to drive like "grandma" so to speak. Doing the speed limit, keeping her quiet, relaxing drive, letting her cool down on the last miles of a trip where I ran her hard. I find myself after a track day having to drive in Manual mode exclusively to get the quick lazy shifts if I want that.
