Lol. I usually use a performance training running shoe. Usually less than 10oz and they have a lot of feel but the soles are a little wider than your typical driving shoe. I'm wearing the Nike Lunarlites for now. Some wear those shoe glove thingies. I can't imagine the feeling of my toes being separated like that. It would drive me absolutely nuts.
In the video below is a good example of what I was talking about. Fast forward to 2:47. I'm modulating the brakes into the corner and I downshift at 2:52. Seriously, it just takes practice and getting the muscle memory down. Trust me, I was a mess until right before that event last Sept.
