The fit and finish of the AA kit is far better IMO. Both kits are nice, but the AA is nicer. Also, the Active kit has a nice airbox that's not sitting 4" of the ground like the ESS kit. If water ingress is a concern, that's a negative against the ESS kit. Support from both vendors is great in my experience, and the knowledge from both is invaluable to this community. I don't think there's a wrong choice to be made, it's going to come down to personal preference. I say if you can, stick with one vendor and the results will be better. If your local shop likes one kit over the other, it may not be because of sales margin. They install and service the cars, and their recommendation goes a long way in my book as a potential client. Much farther than what I read online, and especially by people I don't know
