we can estimate the wheel weight from the listed tire weight, but I don't think that's important as the tire weight is listed on a web site we don't know if that's 100% acurate.

if someone could weigh the whole 18" wheel/tire front and rear we'd have the true number.

I'm curious if the 19" are less than 27# each maybe the 18" are the heavy wheels for the M3.

Only thing we can't control would be if the scales are not the same accurate.
Eu Rouge posted this follow up to my previous weighing of 19s:

"Greg, today I checked with Michelin about the OEM spec'd tire weights for the '08 M3, and this is the weight information.

MPN -12666 for 245/35/19 (front): 23.37 lbs
MPN -27673 for 265/35/19 (rear): 25.36 lbs

MPN -21820 for 245/40/18 (front): 23.57 lbs
MPN -25785 for 265/40/18 (rear): 24.01 lbs

That means that Tire Rack was very close with its weight numbers, and based on the pics that you posted, the front rims weigh 23.63lbs while the rear rims weigh 26.14lbs.

BTW, can anyone confirm with data/source the validity of the following weights for the 18" 219 M Doppelspeiche wheels?

Front: 23.19 lbs
Rear: 24.93 lbs

If the above weights for the 18s is accurate, that would mean that the front 18s are less than half a pound lighter than the 19s with the rear 18s weight being just over a pound less than that of the 19s. All in all, IMO, the 19s are a bargain in the weight department."
