I would not install any aftermarket forced induction modifications without being prepared for your dealer to void your drivetrain warranty in it's entirety. It's an absolute reality and there's no sense in denying the possibility. The additional stress placed on every drivetrain component completely justifies BMW's stance on voiding your factory warranty.
With that being said, we are fortunate enough in the US to have dealers of varying levels of tolerance. Not every tech, service advisor, or dealership will follow the letter of BMW's law. Some techs are quite reasonable and will still replace drivetrain components provided they are not related to your forced induction system directly.
If warranty is a concern, I would suggest forming a relationship with your local dealership and it's techs and service advisors, and determining their comfort level with modifications before taking the plunge.
