I have both a Q5 and a GLK, both AWD. I'd have to say, I like the GLK a bit more.
The Audi center console is cluttered, it sits a bit higher because the engine is up higher, but it probably has a bit more space and a bigger boot. I also HATE the adaptive steering, and I don't remember if you can buy it w/o the adaptive steering. But hey, that's just preference.
The GLK's throttle is much more responsive and a much more fun car to drive, but it eats a bit more gas than the Q5. It's simpler on the inside, but the iPod interface isn't as good as the Q5's.
