1) As alpineweissM3 said, there is a stopwatch in iDrive, but no, it is not automatic. See you manual index under, strangely enough, "Stopwatch".
2) I believe what youa are referring is to hold the trunk floor panel in the up position.
3) Not sure how you could lose those, but I believe they only come with the mats (not positive)
4) Installation is straightforward, I believe.
