Second car, I'm trying to work out if I should go with a R8 V10/V10+, 911 Turbo, or Gallardo. I've actually never driven any of these, but I know I'll appreciate them.

My only fear, and its a valid one, is that I will make this new addition my daily drive and just get bored of driving the E90. It happened to me within a month of when I had my 330Ci and had just bought the M3.

Interested to see what OP winds up with.
What I'm seeking is the "thrill" only a N/A V8 or V10 can provide in sound and high revs over 8k RPM. The kind of rush that makes you giggle like you're a 5 year old, especially paired with the right exhaust. But needs to feel planted like a sports car. The current M lineup no longer has this. Even the 991.1 GTS didnt have the "epic" top end. While a 911 GT3 would, is out of my budget, and likely a bit harsh for non track work.

The S85/S65 motors were special to me (insert tear dripping icon here) for this reason. However they come at a price of maintenance (rod bearings, etc).

This is why I have zero interest in the M4 GTS or other turbo cars to fill this void.

BUT I also want a modern package for DD when needed. And the E92 doesnt cut it for an only car... Which leads me to my 2 car setup
