I'm in the same boat as you.
I started getting random errors, took it into the dealer and they saw the codes in the system but no components were sending out a hard fault. Gave me the car back and everything started repeating again with random code errors popping up (but only when the car had been sitting for at least 2 hours).
They had the car all of last week and couldn't find the error. They called up BMW and today they were told to re-program the whole car. And I've been so busy at work this week I didn't get a chance to go into details with them as to exactly what that means...
I'm hoping to find some time to call them tomorrow to get more details. And I was about 200 miles from the end of my warranty when this happened...
