I don't think it's worth the price difference. I rarely use the navigation, and when I do, the CCC works fine. I play most of my music from the iPod and it does it fine with the CCC. Sometimes the interface is laggy but it isn't that bad.

Not to say I wouldn't want the CIC but for $5000, it's not worth it just to get a pretty screen and a different controller.
