Bingo. Plus tracking responsibly is important to me. Our local track would be in some serious trouble if it was found that someone made an insurance claim for something that turned out to occur at the track!
Bottom line. DO not worry about BMW Assist reporting you to your insurer. Do the right thing and get track insurance. Furthermore, as you don't care about warranty, don't worry about competitive events.
