I wouldn't look at this as a "new" vs. "used" debate.
Look at it as a '09 options vs. '11 options.
I have the '11 ZCP and find myself toning the settings down to Comfort for DD.
The extra stiffness and lowered stance offered by my M3 goes pretty much unused.
In essence, I paid a premium for options that I really didn't need.
Ironically, I knew this would be the case for me going into the transaction, but
I wanted absolute control on the extras including interior, color, sound, CA, etc.
I would have been just as happy in a cherry '09 pre-owned and saved alot of money,
IF I could have found a model for sale with exactly the specs I was looking for.
In other words, if the '09 you're looking at has everything you want, buy it.
It's got at heart the same gorgeous powerplant.
